Nokia N97 and Skype problems

Hey guys, I've just recently got a N97 as a upgrade and I'm really impressed, awesome phone and all that but I can't seem to get the skype to work. I'm on 3 network and it won't work when connected through 3G or Wifi. The Skype is already installed on the phone from factory but when the application is selected it opens the web browser and goes white and then nothing happens, after a while it just says "connection time out". Any ideas?

Isn't there a link to the Ovi store within the phone?

I wouldn't be surprised if your network carrier had sabotaged the Skype app! They did for the N95 when it came out.

I'm still on the N95 and was thinking of moving to the N97 but I think I will be getting a new iPhone 3GS now.

It won't have been sabotaged, I know that a lot of networks didn't want it on there but 3 certainly did as they do with most of their phones. I think I'll just pop into a 3 store, they're normally pretty good.
