Are silverstone likely to allow camping on a Sunday night? I'm not sure if I want to yet, might give them a ring later if noone knows!

Usually there's an overflow car park you can stay in (right by the entrance to the circuit)

If you do camp in the garages, make sure you take some warm clothes with you as even when the garage doors are down you are still fairly exposed to wind etc..

Much better to sleep in a nice windproof van

That's one I do know.

Silverstone are really funny about letting people on site. I highly doubt they'd let you camp thereunsupervised. When I've been a bit early for trackdays they haven't allowed us on site until the TD organiser turned up. They are really strict.

Outside the security gate may be ok, there's a wee bit of gravel, or one of the huge car parks.

Have camped/slept in car on the grass outside a few times (where the big aeroplane monument thing is) in the days before they allowed camping inside for a few quid.

Ring and check what the deal is for the night you actually want to go - it seems to come down to whether they've got a security guard on that night or not. If you do get inside then you get electricity, toilets and they might even have the hot water on in the showers so it is worth a few notes.

Can camp in the big car park outside Silverstone.
Never had a problem at Snetterton and can camp outside the gates if needed.
