I won't have this flu vaccination the same as when the Big Boss at my work comes around at winter with a needle seeing if anyone wants a flu jab I turn it down too.
For one, I'm not partuclarly fond of injections, not scared or feel they are painful or anything, just not keen to get them done.
Secondly, I like to keep my immune system on it's toes
And thirdly I don't buy in to the "OMZGZ!ONE!11 da nuw swine fluz iz deadleez" apocolyptic prophecy shite. A few people will croak it, same as every year. Then everyone will forget about it, and the papers will have to come up with a new super mega ultra version 9.4 virus for people to cry about.
And lastly, I've been in contact with at least 4 people who have had confirmed swine flu and I'm doing just dandy so I figure I'll be reet.

I expect that I'll be 'actively encouraged' to do so. Not having it would probably be seen as gross misconduct and deliberate (and preventable) risk to my health.

| Quote: | WHO says new flu "unstoppable", calls for vaccine
Every country will need to vaccinate citizens against the swine flu virus and must choose who else would get priority after nurses, doctors and technicians, said Dr. Marie-Paule Kieny, WHO director of the Initiative for Vaccine Research |
https://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE56C60820090714
They are certainly hyping it.
| Quote: | The path of a popular medicine from the laboratory to the chemist or doctor’s surgery can involve years of clinical trials on a select group of patients.
When the new vaccine for swine flu arrives in Britain, regulators said this weekend, it could be approved for use in just five days
The first patients in the queue for the jab - being supplied to the UK by GSK and Baxter Healthcare - |
https://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/health/article6690010.ece
Just 5 days?
Now when this hit a few months back i thought it was going to be a huge event effecting millions in a some what lethal way i have to admit:lol:
| Quote: | Burgermeister's charges include evidence that Baxter AG, Austrian subsidiary of Baxter International, deliberately sent out 72 kilos of live bird flu virus, supplied by the WHO in the winter of 2009 to 16 laboratories in four counties. She claims this evidence offers clear proof that the pharmaceutical companies and international government agencies themselves are actively engaged in producing, developing, manufacturing and distributing biological agents classified as the most deadly bioweapons on earth in order to trigger a pandemic and cause mass death |
https://mathaba.net/news/?x=621102
Its a bit of a shame theres only one person taking action over there actions i really dont know what will be in this vaccine apart from
squalene:
| Quote: | A study linking squalene, as experimental vaccine adjuvant, to individuals with the clinical signs of Gulf War syndrome was published in 2002. The published findings strongly suggest that the squalene contaminated vaccines could be responsible for the Gulf War Syndrome symptoms seen in the study group, and recommended that a large scale epidemiological study be performed to verify or correct this.[3] Despite repeated assurances that the vaccine was safe and necessary, a U.S. Federal Judge ruled that there was good cause to believe it was harmful, and he ordered the Pentagon to stop administering it in October 2004.[4] |
Just had to point all of the above out |

Currently swine flu isn't even making my top 10 things to scared of so I'll probably pass...
We did get a scary internal (NHS) email about a 'movement to treatment phase' all very ominous...
Obvously we're all doomed...
Just not by this...

You do realise though that the new flu jab also contains a retrovirus (no idea what that is, just sounds good) that makes people vote for the status quo... No! Not the band!! It's a desperate attempt by the labour government to stay in power.
Those of us who've been in receipt of the jab will walk automaton-like to the polling booth and a special hormone (distilled from Peter Mandelson's sweat) ingrained into the Labour candidates box will interact with the previously injected, ummm, retrovirus forcing us to cross that box and no other.
Is what I think...

It depends on how you need to get it, if you have to go to a doctors surgery or hospital or whatever I'd only bother if it means getting the day or afternoon off work. I haven't heard of it being fatal to anyone but those who are vulnerable when they get it so I'm not worried. ____________________ Past: 55 Sym Jet, 91 ZZR250, 03 NSR125R. Present: 97 ER-5.

Mad_Mushroom, the argument about vaccines going through 5 years of clinical trials does not wash with the flu vaccine. Flu vaccines are presumably easy to make as they make them every year, so already have the necessary knowledge to extract the correct DNA samples to create a non-active variant.
I suspect I know as much as you on the subject of vaccination processes, so I wouldn't spread sinister undertones on a subject you don't know anything about. "Self taught using wikipedia" does not count as adequate medical knowledge either. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Well, since they cultivate these things in egg, I think I will pass.
Egg does quite nasty things to me, so the thought of knowingly making myself ill, to avoid getting ill from something else.... ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |
