South of France - Organised Trip.

Due to unforseen circumstances, two 'couples' have had to cancel their trip to France later this month. So, two bike places are available, not necessarily couples, you could come alone or with another solo biker.

There are currently five mature guys booked on this trip, of varying ages (approx 38-68 years old), abilities and bikes (VFR800, CBF1000, Bandit1250, Pan European, BMW GS).

Details as follows:-

Wednesday July 29th - Tuesday August 11th

The "Gite" is booked, which is in a village called Flaux nr Uzes, this is about 20mls from Nimes.The place has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus an extra toilet nr the swimming pool!!. It sleeps 12+ but looking at the layout it may mean 2 people sharing a room(single beds of course!) or moving one of the beds into a dining room as the place looks quite big and lots of space to eat etc.

The journey out/back will mean we are sailing from Dover/Calais - Calais/Dover return, we will be catching the 2.30pm Ferry on Wednesday 29th July, and returning Tues 11th Aug.

That means we will be doing 3 nights B+B on way down to the "Gite" and same coming back (although may be different route back to Calais), to keep costs down it will need people to share rooms in B+B's (3 guys in 1 room, 2 in another) if any one requires a single room please let us know ASAP (this would prob be quite expensive about £60 per night!!!).

The 1st day riding will prob be about 400mls, however their will be some good breaks in between

M1, A57, A1-M11 10.450am...130 mls to 1st stop (just off jn10 M11- breakfast/refuel).

Leave 11.30ish

M11, M25, M20 arrive Dover (Refuel) 1.30pm ish

Sail from Dover 2.30pm arrive Calais 5pm (sail 1.5hrs+1hr time difference)

A26 - Laon Approx 130mls - (all motorway) lots of services/rest areas on route

Arrive at Laon B+B approx 7.30pm
