Mine put those menu's down the left on Saturday. Looked everywhere but couldn't find how to get rid of them.

To make it worse I only have 1 tab, so not needed at all.

That's the US version. It wouldn't be too bad but it forces you to have your Google Mail preview open all the time, which I don't want.

Try clearing your cache and cookies and making sure your homepage is just www.google.co.uk

It occasionally happens to my iGoogle page too...

It got me thinking, so i had a look in the "my account" bit and changed the regional settings there.

All sorted, neat and tidy again

What's quite weird is that I have Google Latitude activated, and have a tab installed with the Latitude widget in it. If I am in the UK iGoogle page it says that Latitude is not supported in my location. If I just change to a US iGoogle page, the Latitude works fine.

Shame the US page is rubbish, but I presume Google will try to push that on us eventually.

Strangely enough, this exact same thing happened to me today too. May be worth checking your Windows language and regional settings too (as mine kept happening in work and my works pc language is locked down and set to English (US) Grrrr!!!)
