hi new to motorbiking and forums need a bit of advice from anyone in the know!! currently running an aprilia rs125 2000 failed mot on bent front wheel, i have seen a 2002 wheel for sale cheap but the speedo drives are different and would like to know if it would still fit Very Happy thanks in advance rob

The new style drives will only fit the new style wheel, if you have the old wheels youll have to stick the the silver tabbed speedo drives which are very badly made and renouned for breaking.

Even if it did fit you would have a non working speedo, isnt that a fail to ?

as far as i know if the speedo is connected properly they dont check if it works, also i was going to put new style drive with new style wheel so hopefully it would work. im trying to find out if they both would fit??

thanks for the reply want to put new style wheel with new style speedo drive was wanting to know if they are compatible with my bike???

Yeah it will be,
they all fit in the wheel spindle the speedo drive acts as a spacer for the right side but will only fit into the new style wheel that is designed for the newer drive,
Post a link to the youtube of the drive so i can be sure as theres 3 different types of drive.

thanks for the advice found a plastic speedo drive for a tenner stuck wheel on and jobs a good 'un hopefully it will pass the mot on saturday now!! rob.
