Not as an after market add on as they have to be specifically designed for the bike. Picking a random one up off a shelf will give no performance gains.

You might as well squirt piss in the intake manifold than fit one of those things on a speedfight 100.

Don't think that it will make it go 1000 mile per hour with it. I can't understand how a bottle and a pipe can make a engine run better. You might just gain 0.0001 hp with it.

IMO, these are in the same league as those computer fan turbos that are on ebay, just for the looks.

A boost bottle has to be tuned to both the engine size and the flat spot in the rev range your trying to eliminate.

So unless it is for your particular bike it is a waste of money.

Hi,
well yamaha obviously thought they worked.
seeing as they fitted them as standard to the DT,
but if they do anything, they make a badly set up carb seem ok.
but the dt ones were designed for that engine.
as far as im led to beleive, volume of the bottle is crucial.
personally wouldnt bother.

The theory behind it (try google) is fundamentally sound. Yamaha patented it as YEIS back in the 70s and used it quite successfully in a few different two strokes.

Gilera, Derbi & Yamaha use them as standard on some of there bikes, But... the engines are all out of a yamaha dt 125.

as i said mine came with one standard and its a Gilera SC 125.

but thinking about it.

when you buy a full big bore kit for a speedflight or Aprilia rs 50, they come with race manifolds with the holes already fitted, so they must think they work.

No, not mine. It's a '98 Lucky Explorer Model. Currently looking to add one to my collection of smokers.

My Mito is a rather nice yet boring red and needs a good thrashing as I haven't ridden it in ages come to think of it. Currently putting some miles on my Dart before it's sold.
