On another forum your current resident troll (VincentR1), was doing the same on there as he was here. So I've kind of followed him
Anyway, I'm Andy, I'm 42, passed my test way back in '85, spent 20 years off bikes then decided to relive my "yoof" by buying myself a bike for my 40th. So I've been back on the road two years.
Went from wife, 4 kids, two cars to wife, 4 kids, one car and 4 bikes in the last two years so I guess you could say I've been bitten by the bug.
I've had a read of the forum and I gotta say I like the humour and the fact you don't get a mod jumping down your throat when you swear
Anyway, here's my rides -
My first GPZ1000RX -

I binned that bike 3 months after getting it Me and a sheep met at about 100MPH, I lived, the sheep lived, (It must have as we never found it), but the bike died
Here's my rides today -
My Thou RX -

When I bought it, the bike had stood for about 5 years and wouldn't start. New jets were tried but it just pissed out petrol if anything more than 2 gallon was in the tank
After much messing about and 8 months she finally hit the road.
And my other rides -
From left to right -
My 1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000RX, then my '99 Triumph Sprint 900, (which was the bike that got me back into biking)
Then there's my GPZ550A1, a 1987 bike and finally a mint condition 1982 Honda 250 Superdream which I've bought for the wife. She hasn't been on a bike as a rider since she binned her Honda 500 and got pins in her knee But I think she'll go on that one, eventually.

I don't know about the GPX's, but my GPZ thou is still kicking out 112BHP and at Evelington, (that's near York, it's where Hammond crashed his dragster a couple of years back), I've taken on the gixer thous, R1's and Aprilla's and not done that badly.
My advantage is though I can apply and keep the power on without having to worry about the front end coming up, unlike the modern sports bikes |
