Stumbled upon this little story this morning whilst browsing the papers. Is someone having a laugh?

Too right, us Pagans have been left out for long enough. If some religions can have time during the day to pray I'm sure us Pagans can have some time in the day ro ravage the odd virgin or two with a few days off a year for the open air orgies.

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with a police man worshipping Odin or Thor... Not in a 'OMG can they be trusted' way because the idea of any god is a bit strange to me.

It says in that report that there is another officer who is a Wiccan which I think means he's a witch of sorts... Now that is a hell of a way to fight crime... A witches hat with a badge on it... Cool...

"KAZAMMMMMmmm, Be gone mugger...."

Although the report does say it's a re-allocation of existing Christian holidays so that seems fair enough.

Can't see anything wrong with rejigging the current Christian holidays to suit other faiths on a personal basis. Are practicing christians even in a majority anymore?

One thing I feel slightly let down about is Pc Pardy saying there is no naked dancing around the fire. Up until then I thought I had found a religion I could really get stuck into.

If they didn't get it off every year it would be fine.
My dad had to work many Christmas Day's when I was a nipper and he was a Christian on paper.
Of course everyone nowadays panders to minoritys so they don't risk offending someone, but I'm sure PC Pardy would've settled to take one of them off on alternate years, and have to request the other one (not like there's so many Pagans in the Popo trying to get these holidays off).

as a pagan i like the idea but i can see people abusing this as just an excuse to get extra days off.

all hallowed eve used to be a very sacred time of the yr but it has been bastardised so much by christian culture for such a long time i hate it when it comes up.

especially in this day and age where there are so many dodgy people around. 'dont take candy from strangers kids.... unless its halloween then knock on their doors and demand it or else' great message.. Rolling Eyes
