Is your bike a 'she'

Why?

I've noticed it quite a bit, maybe due to how much someone loves their bike?

I have no soul, so I'm incapable of such emotions, so I refer to my bikes as 'The NC', 'The ER' and 'The XR' (occasionally 'Mucky').

I usually refer to my bike as 'it', but it does have a name. Ella because of the reg plate.

I do sometimes refer my bike to a "Her" like ill say "im going to take her for a spin" etc but most of time its just "R6" Just a short name.

I've always given gender and names to my vehicles.

Currently we have Fiona the Fazer, Ermintrude the ER-5, and Doris the Fiesta.

It's very silly when you think about it!

Why? Probably because I think vehicles have faces. And faces must have names.

Mines basically an 'it'. Mainly because the thought of what it would be called if it actually was a woman, as it would have ot be some kind of lardy power lifter and simply can't call something like that a name that isn't eastern European. For example, see instigator and 'betsy' I think he understands why it would work The flip side of it is that I dont want to thunder about on the back of a bloke either.

So for now its the busa, me bike, the beast, lardarse etc.

The reason people give bikes female names is because most can be ridden with synthetic or non-synthetic lubrication, whereas if they were male, synthetic lubrication would be necessary before riding them.

Hopped on the XLR on Thursday and said 'right then Jack-Jack, time to move'. Mate shouts 'WTF (or something to that effect) did you just call your bike Jack?' I was actually talking to the cat resting underneath the bike, but I'm still very upset that someone thought I'd name the bike, Jack!!

I once had a friend who always named her cars with boys names and I thought it very weird She treated them with much the same disdain and abuse as her fellas!!
