heard many horror stories about this lot so wasnt going to use them. however on ebay they use a different name except for a bit of small print at the bottem where they tell you where there located.

anyway bought a set of pads for my fzr250, the bike uses the same pads as the rvf400 as i had a spare set of pads for it and have been riding on them for quite a while.

so bought a set from them, took a week and still not arrived, phoned up and they told me they had none in stock but should do in a few days, why would you list quantity as 16 when you had none in stock???.

fast forward a few more days and this morning they send a message saying that gold fren dont make pads for the fzr and offered me kyoto pads. the kyoto pads are used on the 2kr or larger fzr's, not the fzr 250 3ln. i even searched for pads for the 250 and linked them to another seller selling the gold fren pads for the fzr 250.

bloody anoying why cant they just send an item when you buy it!

just asked for a refund, though no doubt they'l try and charge me for something like postage (even though nothing is sent) or admin fee's (when nothing of use had been done)

They are breaking ebays rules by selling something that they don't have in their possesion. Not that ebay will give a shit as DK will be a nice little earner for them.

Its DK, what do you expect? Rolling Eyes

That is probably why they go under a different Ebay seller name, because if it is obvious that you are about to buy from DK, a lot of people grab the nearest barge pole to push themselves away... Wink

They generally use twowheelspares as their user id on Ebay.

I think the OP was maybe being a bit conservative with the truth as to how well they are disguised, take a look at one of their adverts.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-TL1000-TL1000S-X2-Ring-Chain-and-Sprocket-Kit_W0QQitemZ330343381238QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item4ce9fff8f6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1|66%3A4|39%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A200

I'm sure he will prove me wrong and point us to the original advert though.

Heard many similar stories.

They are just round the corner from me, great to go window shopping there but not much else.

They have such a bad reputation I'm surprised they still exist to be honest!

Hope you get your full refund ASAP Thumbs Up

yeh add is somewhat similar to that, no response so far, i tend to just look at username and feedback rather than read the details of the seller.

also annoyed me that the guy said that i had been emailed about the lack of stock yet i received no such email either on my email address or ebay message.

still no response from them, wpuld haave thought someone would had checked their mail this weekend

They very rarely, if ever, check emails. The bloke in the spares department said they have too many to read.

Just noticed the bottom of the ad.

Only good thing about them being local to me. Can't pull anything dodgy in person but they do have a good range of spares so useful.

I bought a 6 month old ZX6R with 200 miles on it that had been bought further down the country and rode home but little else. When I took it to a local dealer for its first service they took one look at the reg number and said something like 'Oh my god not DK'. They went on to say that they would give it an extra good going over just in case and found there was far too much oil in it. They said they had seen plenty of bikes from DK and it appeared they turn over so many that they just don't give a shit. If a dealer nigh on 300 miles away knows this then why doesnt the average buyer know that you couldnt trust them to boil water? How do they continue to exist. Probably by conning people via this sort of method Confused

Sorry to hear you have unsuspectingly entered into business with the arseholes and I hope it gets sorted soon Thumbs Up

This statement gives you real confidence that whatever you are about to buy is going to be right first time... Rolling Eyes

I don't know why they continue to exist either but here is one insight. A guy I know bought a brand new Bandit from there not so long back. I questioned as to why he bought it from DK and apart from the price (yes I realise they are imports/old model stock) he figured that he would be safe buying something new because even they couldn't possibly mess it up in theory. He knew all about there reputation too. Personally I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole out of principle, but maybe thats just me??? Neutral

I got a spare from dk the other day, it was a 3 way knuckle joint for the cbr cooling system, the goon in used spares tried to charge me a tenner, he said it was minimum order value, cheeky fecker, i ended up payin three quid and that was only because i needed it.

The only thing dk is good for in all actuallity is to go and have a browse at the bikes they have, although that said, i did get my new lid from there a few weeks back and have no complaints about that, even though the salesman was following me round like a lost puppy trying to hump my leg, i ended up telling him to sling his hook and i'd make sure he got the sale.

I got a panel from them on ebay a good while back.
This was sadly before I was aware of their reputation.

Panel was advertised as perfect but when delivered had tabs missing/broken.
Tried to email, no reply, so posted neutral feedback with a comment and then they gave me negative feedback (this was in the days before ebay changed the feedback rules).

So, word to the wise, avoid DK motorcycles, don't trust them, don't give them any money.

As you can tell, despite this happening well into the past, it's still a sore point, such is my loathing and distrust of these people.
