Hi all. IM wanting to go away for about 4 days over the bank holiday in August but not sure where to go. Already done the world war 2 stuff in north France earlier on in the year.

Anyone got any suggestions? I would like abroad but anywhere in the uk to i would consider. Think i would prefer to be round seaside town.

Cheers
Wayne

Germany. The Nurburgring - what bike do you have (not that it matters) check the timetable for its opening times and plan to spend an evening there.

There are then tons of amazing roads in the region which you could take in as you travel south to the Alps, do some Alpine passes (Andermatt is in the heart of the Alps with four or five quality passes there).

Then ride home.

Day 1 - UK to Nurburg, with an evening at the track.
Day 2 - Nurburg to Andermat
Day 3 - Biking in the Alps
Day 4 - Return to UK

Lot of riding, but it would be sweet.

Try touring in the UK, There's enough here to keep most folk interested, Scotland is a nice ride out, although 4 days isn't very long to see the top end.
I'm going up myself in August for 7 days doing some check points for the Round Britain Rally, which will take me around most of Scotland (About least 2000/3000 miles) and again for the Scottish National rally (maybe) in September.

In these days of the cash shortages, it's well worth touring your own country it's amazing how nice it is.

What ever you chose to do - enjoy it Thumbs Up

Cornwall, Dorset or Wales are within easy reach of you, there are some great roads wherever you choose and plenty to keep you occupied for basically a long weekend.

Same as what KittyKat suggested, or go along the south coast the opposite direction, stay in youth hostels or campsites. There are some great areas down there. I have done a fair bit of exploring myself. Thumbs Up
