The 'Mockney' Essex accent (not the real Essex accent that has been long lost due to generations of city ponses moving into the county). It's like they over do it on a bloody tangent. East London wannabes. Cringe worthy...

My old flatmate used to date a frumpy ginger bird from Brummie.

With that combo, I wanted to explode.

Explode your tango love juices all over your fellow gingers folds? Definitely scouser, but only when it is really thick, from a female and high pitched.

The brum accent is the finest in all the land and made better by the multicultural nature of my wonderful city. Very Happy

The worst English accent is not from the UK.

I vote for that ''off'' cockney one that American actors do when playing an English person.

Whatever accent it is that that silly cow Lilly Allen sings in, makes me want to batter something with a frying pan.

Really like the Geordie accent, like the Yorkshire one too and I can cope with Brummie. I'm from the West Country and sound like it too, so I suppose I have to like that one.

The worst accent I can think of isn't on the list and thats the barnsley accent. I may be biased living on the south yorkshire border but whenever I hear that broad half arsed drone it's like nails down a blackboard

I agree. That accent makes them sound like total tools.

On the other hand, the Birmingham accent always makes me burst out in fits of laughter.

I had to go for Scouse. So abrasive. Went out in Liverpool many times when My frien was at Uni there. God the girls were amazing - they really do make the effort. Then they opened their mouths...

Other friend had a loud scouse girlfriend for a while. It didn't last.

My favourite accent is the Brum accent, love it, even more than my own North Eastern roots.

Glaswegian is, in my opinion, the worst accent in the UK. It is certainly the most difficult to understand.
I don't just say that because I am a sassenach. I recently had a guest in my house that lives in Paisley, an area on the outskirts of Glasgow and he couldn't understand the buggers either.

None of you have ever heard a typical benefit scum Aberdonian, the accent is fucking disgusting. Which is surprising as encompassing the outskirts of Aberdeen the accents are quite nice, if a little hard to understand (and I've lived here my whole life).

I hate the Paisley accent/dialect.. just that wee bit different from 'normal' Glaswegian - I hate it with a passion, so annoying.

The varient I personally think of as "Loud Glaswegian" has a particularly annoying quality. Any dialect that considers "Oi, you pal." shouted at the top of their lungs as a good way to greet a stranger is onto a looser in my book.
