New gear . .

At the start of next month I am going to be getting a new bike.
And I want fresh gear.

I was just wondering if anybody can recommend any 2 piece textiles that match. I am after a matching jacket and trousers.
Nothing to pricey. I would spend about 150 ish ( not a huge amount I know ) .
Good for winter, water proof and just generally comfy.
At the moment I have a Akito jacket and just some warmed lined water proof bottoms.

Any help ?

Here's a website where you can download a selection of archived product tests from Ride Magazine. They did one on textile suits and it's up there (tried to upload it to this post, but it was too big so wouldn't let me)

Some other useful tests there too. I don't own any of the items, so can't comment on which is better etc. but it's a good starting point anyway!

if you want something from the cheaper end of the market you should take a look at J and S accessories stores.Theyve got a sale on atm (called blue cross) and theres loads of kit dirt cheap.
Buffalo`s the cheapest stuff they do and i reckon it could be what you want (price range).I was looking at some of it last week at the northwich store and it`s half decent tbh.Not designer....but still good.

I've got a Targa Turbo jacket and there's a matching set of Richa pants. There's a zip on the waistband that allows you to attach them, though having ridden through rain, snow and hail I haven't needed to use it (still stayed dry).

They have removable liners so you can use 'em all year round.

Jacket is about £90, pants would be about the same but you might convince them to give you a discount as you're buying both.

Well just note, Akito Nitro TNUK tend to use the large connecting ziper, rst/gear tend to use a smaller zip just make sure you check if you end up with different brands.

I was going to get a replica suit from them but I'm weary of the quality if will be and can't be arsed with th e £30 to send it back ontop of the £30 you pay for delivery if it's shit.

Decided on some RST Fusion gear, just get a two piece suit then I know it's quality stuff.
