Hey all

i'm thinking of turning my KLR into a supamotard.
for this dream to realize i'll need to get new rims and such.
Now for my question,did all the ZX400's come out with 3 spoke's mags or did they differ?

cause i got a offer from a guy for a pair of these with tires for R4000 wich is very good compared to the R8000 of the previous quote i got,that was for a pair that came of a GSXR750M.

i cant go wider than a 160 at the back.

Im not mad enough to try riding a KX500 on the road, so im going to convert my KMX200 instead, unless i can be talked out of it, not likely! I like the wheels on the KX, and am i right is assuming that they are KR1S ones? I wouldnt mind cast wheels on my bike, but i think only something like ZZR250 ones would fit, from a tyre width point of view, and they dont look too great, as well as the front disk being on the wrong side. Ive thought about if its worth it several times, to have a pair of SM spoked wheels built,£4-500, but i do reckon it will be worth it as it should look very nice with blue anodised rims.
Just out of interest, what sort of dry weight and bhp is the KLR600?
Im hoping to lose a bit on my KMX, might be difficult though, as it's only 100kg to start with lol!

Well ive got a huge full knobbly on the rear of mine atm, and thats a 130 on an 18" rim. The swingarm tapers more as it get closer to the wheel spindle, and ive checked that id have enough clearance for a 140 rear, without the std chainguard. It might take a 150 rear, but thats too big really i thought on a bike thats unlikey to make much over 36bhp. Im going for a 110/70 on the front with a 3" rim i think, so if im having spoked wheels built up then a 4.25" rear rim should do, as i think a 3.5" is a bit small for a 140 section rear?
