The Labour party have just been dealt a devastating blow by the Conservatives. In what was considered to be a safe seat for Labour they were decisively crushed.
If Gordon Brown had a single shred of decency in him he would call a general election now.

I find it a wee bit depressing to be honest.

The Tories aren't being swept closer to power on a wave of popularity. They're being shoved in that direction by voters wanting to punish New Labour and Gordon Brown.

It annoys me when they say it's a decisive victory and a vote for the party of choice. It bloody isn't, because in reality; there is no choice.
