Been out for a little while now I believe.

I don't think many people will pay £17500 for the privelege that it will fall apart due to being Italian when they can just spend £8k or so on a near-as-makes-no-difference fast Jap bike.

Not many people will feel the difference between 172bhp of the £8000 R1 and the 180bhp of the £17500 Aprilia on the road where it will be predominantly used.

So unless someone has a penchant for Aprilias or V4 engines I don't personally see why they'd buy it. Unless of course they have a lot of money to spend on a bike.

However, it looks nice and if I had the licence I would get it. Laughing

It's more like £15,000 for the V4 and £10,000 for the R1.

Aprilias have always been great bikes, it's just there after sales which can be awful!

The RSV4 is actually £12,500 and the RSV4 Factory is £15,000.

Aprilias have a much better build quality than other Italian makes and I know which I'd rather roll up on. Choose a rare, good looking bike or the same Fireblade that everyone else in the car park owns.

Are you only allowed to use an engine configuration that's brand new then? Eh?

Loving the quote from a kid with a 50cc bike hoping that one day, maybe one day, he will get the chance at owning something so nice. Smile

As for the bike, I sat on one at a show about a month ago and it is VERY small, think along the lines of an NC30 and the like. Not my kind of riding position but a gorgeous bike and soon to become the Tuono V4 so maybe worth me looking at.

Money wise, the Italian bikes have always been more expensive than their Japanese rivlas, but they still sell enough to make it worth their while and the exclusivity is great.

Just to chime in, Aprilia's build quality on the big bikes is absolutely top notch, it's just the wiring you've got to keep a beady eye on for the most part Thumbs Up

Loving the quote from someone who judges people based on the bike size they are legally allowed to ride without any knowledge of prior experience or what motorbikes he has in the garage. Thumbs Up

I would love to own one but I personally couldn't justify spending that much money on a bike unless I was going to use it on the track!

I would agree with that.
i`m on my 3rd ape now and there`s been a wiring issue on all 3 bikes.

Brand new 2007 rs125 had the starter motor fail within 6 months.(water related issue)

2004 rsvr kept blowing all it`s fuses due to water getting in
somewhere and messing with the alarm.

2007 rsvr had an ignition coil failure within 2000 miles.Strangely,it happend after a jet wash though cant prove that was the cause.

Build quality is just awesome on aprilias these days. The only apes to avoid are the old milles and the old rs125s IMO. (not coz theyre bad bikes, but because theyve probably seen too much abuse and neglect)

Also i would advise never taking an ape to a jet wash unless it`s just to do the wheels!
Every time i`ve done it there`s been a problem soon after.

Read your own words kid.

How the fuck would you know (whatever bikes are in your garage) that Aprilia's new flagship model will fall apart ?

What on earth would you know about 180bhp superbikes and how they feel on the road Smile
