Found out last night that there's a place less than a mile away from my house that makes carbon fibre parts for cars etc.

So went up there today and spoke to the chap at https://www.carbonmods.co.uk/

He doesn't make carbon parts for bikes because he's never had the parts so he can make the moulds from them, so he says if you want any doing then he'll make them up for you.

I've asked him to do my blue side panels pictured

and he says he'll do them for £250, so that's 125 quid per panel, which is bloody good seeing as no other manufacturer makes them.

is anybody else interested in getting the side panels or any other panels/parts done?

Funny you should mention that as I've been thinking my heel plates are looking really scruffy.

Given that the left heel plate is all that keeps my foot from being sawn in two by the chain, is carbon fibre a good idea? I know it's strong but it can shatter can't it?

Is that £250 for the carbon fibre panels or the moulds themselves?

I realise how stupid that sounds but £250 for two side fairing panels sounds very inviting.

250 for both panels, so 125 each.

I´ve had an email from him confirming that he´s interested in branching out into the mototcycle industry because after going over my bike in person he said the parts look pretty easy to replicate.

i´m on holiday in spain at the moment, so if anybodys interested then either PM me or post here.

cheers Thumbs Up
