I am a member of a certain anarchist organisation, I don't really do much but occasionally use information they provide to back up stories etc.

Anyway, just got this through

*********** have been officially charged with impersonating
police officers today. As you may have heard on April Fools Day we
drove a tank into the G20 demonstrations and for some reason the
police took offence to this.
Obviously by covering up any police insignia on us the powers that be
decided we were too similar to the real police who had spent the day
removing their numbers and beating up innocent people.

So this Saturday we are having a fundraiser, for legal fees and future
trouble. The theme is police uniform fetish, and we would very much
like you to come and 'fuck the law'.

I think your organisation did the police a favour, as they can now claim that anyone beaten up was actually beaten up by someone impersonating a police officer. So I will not be contributing. Well I wouldnt anyway. I can a bit of sympathy for the police's heavy handed approach in pressing charges, but that's about it.

I'm not keen on Starbucks, but not to the point where I I want to pan their windows in during a G8/20/40 summit.

Pret a Manger want their windows panned in for being incredibly pretentious though...

They don't just riot, these are some proper hardcore anarchists!!

Because of they're overpriced corporate whorism. They generally treat their staff perhaps the worst off all the coffee shops too

Oh and I was amused by Ste's like where they are trying to save 'the character of Hackney'. Erm, have they been to Hackney? Not sure I'd want to save that 'character'.
At Glastonbury a be-dreaded greenpeacer tried to get me to give them money or sign something to stop the runway at Heathrow. She said "but this is people's homes, man!" and asked how I'd like it if someone was going to bulldoze mine. I pointed out it was just bricks and mortar and I wasn't nearly that materialistic... which she didn't have much to say back to, from her pretentious hippyness Razz.
