How long do they last?
What is the proper procedure?

Last August I got my final warning from work. But too me it was unjust. I got it for calling my boss a cvnt after he refused me time off work to return home and see my gran who had been given 2 days to 2weeks to live.

Now when I received it, there was only me and my workshop manager in the office. To be fair I did say that I would fund my own train fare and the replacement guys too.

I thought I should of had a rep and the main boss in there too?

Did you sign a job contract?

If so, it should all be in your contract and will vary for each company.

It depends...

They can pretty much what they want anyway which is a bit crap. In a disciplinary you are allowed to have a delegate sitting in with you and they do have to make you aware of that.

As to how long they last, again, it depends on the organisation. I imagine it would be down to your line manager to review it at set intervals, but again; they don't have to.

Bit tight getting it in the first place, that alone would be cause for redress I would've thought. Not sure what obligations employers have in terms of compassionate leave.

Employment law only kicks in after 12 months though...

In my last job a final written was 12 months.

A few of us had them. We called ourselves the elite.

final means last after verbal then a written. Accepted ACAS TUC and most employers I've known.
On written you are meant to behave.
Were you a bad boy/girl?

You should have looked for assistance at the time I think now is a bit late.
Most work on rule of thumb if they want you they keep you. if not see you.

Sorry if I caused any confusion. What I meant is if I do anything wrong I could be sacked. So my next warning is to leave the premisis before i'm arrested.
