well im tidying a bike i just bought up, and it had no bar ends, messed up grips ect,

not upon taking the grips off it looks like the bike takes specific honda bar ends that screw into inner bar weights,

i have remove the bar weights as they dont seem to do much other than remove vibrations, right ?

i have put some nice new grips on and also some bar ends with rubber grommet attachements,

they look great but am i going to miss having the bar weights in as they will not fit with after market barends,

will i be ok running just with aftermarket rubber fitment barends ect ?

any advice welcome :O

Is it a CBR400 by any chance? The weights (inner and outer) are finely balanced to reduce vibration to your hands more than anything.

Ideally you'd want the OEM bits, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hard to find a bike that doesn't have rubber fitting aftermarket ones on now, indeed I owned two like that. Didn't get Vibration White Finger or anything. Wink

I drilled the weights out of my nc23's bars and noticed no difference what so ever (used a drill coz they wouldnt pull!) so I wouldnt worry, all weight saving is good!
