Why does the colour of your bike affect what jacket you get?

i think he wants to know if it will go with his bike.

like if you have a yellow bike, you dont go and buy pink and purple leathers.. because you will look like a total pillac! Laughing

Black black black black...then it doesn't matter what colour your bike is...if you opt for multi coloured kit, then you can also accept being called a Power Ranger. Wink

Agree with this,

My first jacket matched my bike, but no bikes since then so now i have black and white and it goes with anything!

i like the rst look :

https://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catref=230017&tier1url=Clothing-and-Helmets&tier2url=Mens-Textile-Jackets&tier3url=RST

but only problem not sure if its got much abrasion protection, for example the akito has straps around the elbows to hold the armour in place but the rst doesnt.

I`ve had the akito desert jacket/pants for a while now and they suck, don`t buy them.
zips and pulls on the liners and pockets have all fucked up and the seams are coming apart in under a year.
Poor quality gear imo....wont buy any more of it in future.

Hi
I wear RST textiles and find them fairly ok, the jacket has been very good in the latest downpours only leaking a bit on the inside of the elbows, and the pants , well they have leaked around the crotch area in any heavy rain so my bollox are wet when i get to work,so im going to wash them in the nikwax tech wash and try the wash in waterproofer. Quality wise in the 5 months of on and off twice a day they have worn very well only a few loose threads on the jacket and the pants neede the velcro belt sewn back on, but thats down to when i had a large belly really, virtually no movement of armour and they feel very solid on. The pants are Rift and i think the jacket is the same.

Mark

Ps any one tried thompsons water proofer for concrete on their textiles??

The mud jacket is not suitable for general riding, its made from processed cheese and would not hold up in a fall, it has no armour and only the basic of features, its really only suitable as a waterproof jacket to be worn over another.

Weise can be cheap and some places are offering last seasons models at big discounts if you can find them.
