I think this is the bike I've settled on. What do you guys think about them?
I'm probably looking for one about 1990.
Cheers!

Hi

If you want to save yourself all the headaches of upgrading later, go 4 an R6 or some other 600cc and get it 'restricted'.

You will also find that 400's are relatively more expensive to buy than 600's.

An older CBR600 will set u back a song......

thats the only thing stopping me from gettin a 6

that and the fact it would feel to big, too much of a jump from a scoot

400 is the smallest REAL sports bike you can get

I'm looking at £500 for 20 with no ncb, but I'll be adding to my current policy. When I come to renew I'll be 21 with 1 year NCB

its a 1988 CBR400RR, Black and grey, really really nice. Got a few scratches etc, but the fairing is original (with the padded lining stuff still in it too!)

£1500 private sale, some guy I met at RS 's wife!

congratulations on the new bike!! Your lucky getting those colours as well cos most of the CBR's I've seen have rubbish paint job's. Black and silver sounds nice Very Happy

I'm glad to hear that that dealer is probably wrong. The thing is that they have 2 shops (one just down the street on the other side of the road from the first) with the smaller one kept locked and used for storage. The CBR was in there and I turned up just before closing, so he probably just couldn't be arsed to show me it. Any excuse to get rid of me!

Yea, dealers tend to be utter chimps (no relation whatsoever to the estimable monkeys). They haveto be in the right mood...Some I have problems with and I just dont ever use them (like Wiley and Hollands.....)
