Maybe most girls see you as a challenge when you are taken, but then when you are single it is no challenge and therefore no fun. Of course there is always an exception to the rule. Then there are the men who give the right signals to a female when they are already spoken for, then when they are free to date put obstacles in the way to make a relationship more difficult.

I think it's probably because you approach conversation/interaction with women in a different way when you're already in a relationship. You're not eyeing them up as a potential so you behave differently, you might not be aware of it but you do because it is true, when you're single you can't find one but when you're not (and content) then they all come, however if you're not content in your relationship then you're probably giving the same signals as when single.

I think women are subconsciously more competitive with each other than we realise.


The fact we eye each other up as much, if not more than men eye women up, proves it.
Women, 'can', feel threatened by the presence of attractive women whilst in the company of her man. I know I have in the past and I've felt hostility from the female partner before too.

But, if you have been brought up to have an ounce of respect you won't get involved with a taken man, and that includes flirting.
