Hornet indicators staying on

Hi,

I was just out for a quick right and for apparently no reason the indicators came on and stayed on (not flashing). Flicking the indicator switch had no effect. I stopped and switched off the engine and they went off. Now, everything is back normal.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is the back one on?

Mine does this when a bulb has got out and the front right one stayed on because the Rear right one wasn't working...Turned out to be a loose connection though.

Could be the flasher unit, when it gets to a certain heat a thin strip is pulled toward a plate, once the contact is made the current goes through and the heat in dispersed and the thin strip moves back. When I had this problem I dismantled the flasher unit gave it a good clean and blow and put it all back. Try not to touch the mechanism though, if the gap between the strip and the plate is too small the indicators will go too fast, and too far away would mean it would overheat and probably burn out.

Or else buy a new flasher unit
