Been recommended these by 3 places now, just wondered what everyone's opinions on these were?

Also is £195 fitted a good price?

If anyone has any other recommendations for me or can source the tyres cheaper - I'd be very grateful to know as i can't find a way to make it much cheaper myself - The shop wants £20 per tyre fitting, so ideally i need to find the pair for under £150 to make it worth my while!

Tyre Sizes

(F) 100/90/18
(R) 110/90/18

Cheers guys/girls

I got a pair fitted and balanced for £160 recently so 195 is a little expensive but its not unreasonable, long as it was blisteringly fast then I'd probably pay 195.

Front - £66
Rear - £70
Delivery - £7.95

___

Total: £143.95

Same place as i got mine, best prices i could find at the time Thumbs Up Im also sure if you try a different place mate you could get it alot cheaper than £20 a tyre. Are you taking them in as loose wheels, if not then try to as the price will be alot lower. £5-er each for me usually. Smile

They are ok tyres. Not great but probably the best your gonna get in that size.

Think I paid about £160 fitted for Pirelli Sport Demons (I'd say an equal competitor to the BT45's) and they were bigger tyres so normally cost a little more. I'd say thats overpriced. Price up the tyres on online sites (busters is often pretty cheap) and see how cheap you can get them.

£20 on the bike for fitting? I recently paid £30 for a part worn which included fitting on the bike lol. Think I pay about a fiver normally for fitting but thats getting the wheel out myself and taking it in.

Kinda short on options in Aberdeen but if i was getting told £20 a wheel fitting i think i'd learn to do it myself! Is that even if you buy the tyres from them? Think alot of places are putting up fitting alone prices to try and combat people buying cheaper tyres online and only needing fitting.

Think i had them on the fz.... hated them. Grip was shockingly bad in the wet.

They are a good, general purpose tyre and are probably one of the better ones you'll be able to get in 18".

Most tyre places fit them free to a loose wheel if you bought the tyres there.

I had them fitted to my XF650 and thought they were a great tyre, they are well suited to "older" bikes and could be a good match for your CB350S-G

However, I think that price is a bit high, I recently paid that for a set of Metzler Tourance, fitting was £10 per wheel as I couldn't be arsed taking the wheels off the bike.

Send a pm to beatnck2, he works for a small firm (Dynamec ) just north of Worcester (WR2 6LS) who'll probably do you a good price. Thumbs Up

I picked up a pair of BT45s for £130 online.

Try here and here.

I've got them fitted to my TZR and they are a big improvement over the old Avons.

Pay to get it done.

It'll cost you nearly £20 to get tyre levers, wheel weights and rim protectors and even then you risk damaging the rim.

I thought Hornets came as standard with Radial tyres? If so it's not surprising that BT45's didn't work to well, they aren't recommended for it.

In my experience BT45's make a very good day to day (commuting) tyre. I had them on my xj600n and was very impressed with them - especially in the wet.

Enough grip to deck out the exhaust. Cool
