It is funny, but whats even more mad, is there is more fuss over MPs spending a £20k at a time, than there has been about 2 phoney wars which have caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of foreigners, the deaths of hundreds of british soldiers, and cost billions of pounds.

Why can people get more angry about something which is at worst fraud, but care less about mass murder and wasting gigantic sums of money ?

"A Commons source said: “The Speaker believes that these are reasonable costs and they reflect the fact that he has a young family to accommodate. He believes people can see that it is not extravagance and that the money has been spent wisely, for example the bed that he has brought in is from Ikea”.

Over 6k for a fvcking sofa? Get the fvck out of here, you piss-taking CVNT!

Didn't go overboard on the double-bed though, did he. Oh, fancy that...it's for the slave.

He wasn't kidding about "transparency", was he.

Because they can relate to it,they understand from experience how long it takes to save up to give there house a make over its a long term thing with a lot of work for them...they see someone taking it for free and it hits home where as they have no experience of seeing there friends and family die because of the choices made by a government 1000"s of miles away.

They don't think beyond the end of there own nose hence they cant even understand whats going on in there own country.

This.

Unbelievable that they put forward the cheap bed, but decline to comment on the excessive sofa, and £3,880 for planters for the terrace.

So that is just over eight times as much spent on pots for plants than the bed for the staff. It really is mad, and so telling of the attitutdes toward the general public.

Ossy you're setting your sights too low.

I want to live, free of charge in a fuck off apartment in London, overlooking the Thames, with servants, whilst paying little regard to the core requirements of my job.

You don't get anywhere with a lack of ambition!

I'll have a 1k sofa and 5k in cash. Like a 1k sofa wouldn't be pretty fvcking plush for most real people living in the real world.
