How do test rides work exactly?

I'm thinking about selling the CB and my Locoblade and getting a DRZ400 or some other cheap supermoto type bike, but I've never ridden one before and would like to know what it's like.

Do most places that sell bikes let you test ride bikes too? Do they only have certain demonstrator bikes, or can you test ride the specific bike you want? Do they let you test ride second hand bikes?

Cheers Smile

Just turn up or ring the dealer and arrange a test ride. If you look young they will prob ask for your licence to confirm age. Some can be a bit picky if you are under 21 and I can't see many letting you ride a bike over 33hp if on a restricted licence.

If its a new bike its usually a demo bike. Second hand it should either be the bike you want or else don't buy it - what have they do hide if they aren't letting you ride it?

OK, cheers, sounds easier than I thought it'd be Smile

I'm 23 so hopefully age won't be too much of an issue...
