Nice advice.

Being 16 dont mean nothing. Your old enough to ride it, pay for it to be fixed, they should treat you with a bit of respect. Call em up and demand that they fix it or you will report them to trading standards!

If you need work done to your bike do it yourself. Of if your willing to travel a few miles give me a PM ill tell you a few good places to go. Thumbs Up

What did they do to break the lights ?

Oil leak, then take it back to be fixed.....

If they get funny, just remind them that they are serving someone that might just possibly continue to use them in the future, or if they fail to fix. Will never be coming back again....

You have to be polite, but firm. Start mouthing off and they will not do anything.

Never ceases to amaze me how poorly some companies/retailers treat the younger generation.....
I guess they fail to see that it is them that will keep them going in the future.

Oh, dear god no!

I'm not REALLY sure they'll give a damn that a kid and his 50cc may not return mate! Mr. Green

Kid's with 50's can turn into men with 600's over time. Not to mention pedbois usually come in packs of 8, though buns come in packs of 6.

A young kid on a 50 is more likely to return with further work, as they do not have the skills to fix it....

The trouble is the dealer is not thinking about their future prospects..

I had a simular experience when i had my 125. I can say i never took my bike there again.

I found another garage who are brilliant. I had a problem with my bike on saturday at around 1 o'clock, and needed my bike for work on monday. I took it to them adn they were busy but they said their 1 o'clock hadnt turned up so they said bring her in. So i did and then they fix it. Thumbs Up They even let me stand there and watch, and taught me a few things.
Awesome garage and good prices aswell. I ride past about 3 places to get there but well worth it. Thumbs Up

I have used them for over 6 years and have a fairly good relationship with them (they will not charge me for small jobs), I am aware they don't have much respect for teen ped riders as my little brothers mate had a similar incident...

Saying that I have little respect for anyone who has neon's on their car/bike/ped. But that's still no excuse for what you've calmed they have done, we were all 16 once and did some silly things!

I have had another shite day at work ... and come home to this ... Genius, thankyou .... not laughed so much in ages Thumbs Up mint.

On a serious note ... unsure how they can break your gearbox doing a tyre change ?. . but just go back and tell them.
They are part of a much bigger company (Guildford Tyres I think?) .. so simply call their head office and complain.

I have used them for both road and off road bikes .... Prices are pretty good .... and and they never charge for little jobs they do when finishing off a bigger one (ie: replacing bolts and nuts etc).

When one of the blokes damaged my screen (spilt a drop of brake fluid on it, which then eat away at the graduated tint) ... they simply ordered a new one at £70 cost to them !!!

Have a moan at them ... but do it nicely.
Remember, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar ! Confused

and dont get them to repair the neons ... let them go !

Did you point it out to them?

If not why not?

If so what are they doing about it?

Sounds like you rolled over and walked out without saying anything about the damage.

I would bung them a fiver for getting Neons off the road though, they at least did one thing right. Wink
