Ok so I have a very tidy 2002 F4i in my garage, its completely standard and in really good condition apart from the fact I have no plastics or tank! (also need an exhaust and clutch lever and a few other bits to fully tidy it up)

My plan was to put it back to a road bike, tax and MOT it then ebay it aiming for around £1800 ish (would be in excellent condition but its recorded as a Cat C)

Problem is, I can't find any bloody plastics or tank or anything anymore! Nothing reasonable on ebay at all. I could do with getting it sold really but need to decide what will make me the most money

Was thinking of race fairings and selling as a track bike? Whats the going rate for an F sport track bike anyone know?

Other option is the £300 plastic kits from Hong Kong, meant to be good quality for road use, anyone actually bought one of these sets and can comment on fitment/quality?

Any thoughts or ideas? anyone conveniently got a set of fsport plastics and tank going cheap? Laughing

I could but wouldnt get much for it with no plastics etc... I gave up stunt riding to buy a house so losing loads of money on my bike kind of defeats the object.

It's annoying because with a nice set of plastics it'll be a near mint bike, registered Cat C but should still fetch around £1800.

Last year I was buying loads of F sport plastics etc for cheap prices and now theres nothing about at all! Confused

I don't, thats the thing, ideally need at least £1800 for it and I know obviously won't get that much as is. finished and MOT'ed im almost certain I'll get around £2000-£2200 but thats if I can find some damn fairings.

Do you think that realistically you will increase its value by £400 if you buy it £400 worth of fairings?

Also, if I see a bike with aftermarket fairings or even a non standard paint scheme, I know it's been trashed. If it has a tyga body kit or similar, I know every single body panel has been destroyed, or it was owned by a ped boi who thinks they look cool.

Too true, that's my other concern which is why I'm reluctant to order ebay plastics until I know of someone whos already got them.

As for the value, it will add £400 to its value yes the reason for this is because its actually a fairly decent bike which would fetch around £2000 + on ebay even as a Cat C whereas if I try to sell it without any plastics then I'd be lucky to get £1200, saw one sell for silly money a short while ago that needed work but I don't really want to risk it. Minimum I'd accept for it as is, is £1500 and I'm 99% certain I won't get that (would you buy a bike for £1500 that /looked/ like a mess due to no plastics etc?) that's the problem really.

Guess I'll keep looking for standard stuff for a bit Smile
