1) have a bike that people are interested in (ok there)
2) don't ask too much for it. If you are greedy you won't sell.
3) Sell the bike properly with a good description and photos.

ebay is probibly the fastest way to sell, but people look everywhere for bikes.

IMO

Best way is online on autotrader, always sold a bike within 2 weeks and always been for a good high end price.

Quickest was is to take it to a dealers and get less than what its worth.

eBay, shove it on as a buy it now and price them just 'under' what the average selling price is on eBay.

Has yet to fail me yet.

A cheap price is going to be the best way to sell quickly.
If you pay for advertising (ebay, biketrader, etc); still advertise in as many free places as possible.
I'd do the free places for a day or two anyway personally.

Another for ebay, as much a its starting to get on my wick with more fees and whatnot, but it still is the best if not slightly more expensive.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Ebay classifieds @£12.99 for 28 days. Sold 3 bikes this way in the last few years. Gets the exposure of being on ebay without the idiot scammers (or just uk idiots) being able to bid on it and ruin your sale.

Dave

Edit: Damn, didn't spot the old thread revival.....

Why do green blobbers forever revive ancient threads? I know we should tolerate greenies and treat them as equals but they are not like the rest of us are they? Evil or Very Mad

What about those of us who flit from gold to green to gold back to green again?
