No, but I'm pretty sure it has to have one fitted, they just don't test if it's working.

Guy at my MOT place (who also supplies my tyres) commented that my KLE (supermoto conversion, no speedo drive) had used a lot of tyres for a bike that's only done 8,000 miles according to the odometer. It passed.

There is a speedo, speedo cable and speedo drive but the speedo drive is broken.

Buying one in a few days.

My speedo drive broke today, was told by a kawk dealer it should pass without it, it passed without it.

dont have to have one to pass. but if you do have one, it either has to say your going faster than you are, or what you actuarly are.
if it says your going slower than you really are, its a fail Thumbs Down

they would never know when doing the mot, it isn't tested.

pretty sure you'd have to dig a quite deep hole for yourself to be in a situation where the police think it's necessary to test the accuracy of your speedo. Confused

oh right, thats what i was told at my mot. but then again, my local mot tester is crap.

yeah i couldnt see the police ever testing it, but my point was it mya fail the MOT fr it. but if the speedo isnt tested then what i said is irrelivant Laughing

I just stuck my Garmin Satnav on the tank last week, passed NP.
