Hier All,

Ive decided to start a new thread which i intend on updating with my bike progress and life inc touring and climbing the bike ladder.

Will be taking cbt and the rest soon. My two older brothers got me inspired and they came round to today with their first real bikes, i hope they comtinue to be sensible drivers whilst they are learning and they dont believe im going to get a cheap old bandit as my first bike, as opposed to something like theirs ! ...but i will do the right thing and progress steadily with my experience and do what i intend to do and not get sucked into buying a 6 grand mean machine !.... yet...

hi,

My intended riding school asked if i would like to use their or my own bike ?

How do you use your own bike ie getting to and from the school legally??

If its bigger than a 125 for your DAS then the only ways to get it there would be a van or a trailer or even a friend with a full licence to ride it for you.

If its a 125 for your CBT same applies I'm affraid.

I think its nearly always easier to use theirs- by the time you sort out someone to ride your bike over or borrow a van etc its not worth the hassle for only saving £10 or so

im gona have to find out if my older bro has insurance third party on other bikes, you see im only considering it as once the funds are in place i will from the many bandits be able to decipher a good one hopefully not a million miles away, and would not want to miss out on such a bike.

Could or should buy it and if in possession then might aswell use it . since learning about bikes not liking being sat around to long,

Although i imagine i could just putt the battery inside, without getting into the winter storage advice that seems slighly vast to me if you have read stinkwheels winter post.

I have to much time on me hands to prepare and think but have learnt the more you learn and prepare the better the outcome .

Quite nice but it's had everything done to it. No fun in buying someone elses build. Much more fun doing it yourself. You get to lean your bike that way. But it's a good bike but did he specify if it's been crashed or anything. Re-spray screems crash. Hpi clear? Might be worth a 5er from the rac for the info.

Its been up before on ebay, first thing is:

I cant fix upgrade motorbikes ! .......... pushbikes , computers and wobbly shelves yes !

2nd is that i be lucky to have me bike cash within a month....

His feedback is good and i would do a hpi check, but i spose there is broken bikes out thier being sold to noobs such as myself.

I dont know what to check for on viewing as yet.

Price ? i was thinking 2000 cash..??

Also besides doing one up myself the work done already on such a bike would cost a far bit i imagine...

Personally I don't like it, It is too white it needs a Honda sticker at least to break it up. The front fairing is horrific, the undertray is a very poor fit. The grab rail paint will come off after a few pillion rides.

I would also bet it has been crashed, the fact is has a new paint, front fairing, can, bars, mirrors, indicators, can etc. These are all parts that would be fucked from a slide.

I'll go with what chris said here about it may have been down the road covdude. If you are going to look at it make sure you take someone who does know what to look for with you. I'm sure there will be members down your way who will help out if you don't know anyone.

Agree with chris about that front fairing, really spoils an otherwise very good looking bike.

Be patient and keep looking, you will find the right bike, remember you have loads of time, right up until you pass you test. If you wait, you'll find the right bike.

I been looking for 125's for months.. none of them seemed right, then a few days ago, was a scorcher of a bike! Absolute beaut! 2 weeks to go till i can ride it
