Big Motorbike Cloth Stores (South East Related)?

Hi,

I've heard a legend about big motorbike clothing stores, espically a mythical Hein Gericke store, that's actually huge and carries a vast amount of stock. Now, myself, I think Hein Gericke's too expensive (I'm just tight), but the wife wants some new clobber.

Can anyone tell me of any stores in the South East, which carry huge amounts of stock? Like, takes hours to look through it all?

Have you tried J&S, i'm not sure if you have one by you but they are around the country.

Theres a masive J and S in Watford, biggest bike clothing store I've been in for sure!

bike stop in old stevenage, its not massive but stocks pretty much the entire dainese range plus others. staff are so helpful and prices seem expensive but are very competitive. worth a trip over just for their advice if nothing else Wink

J&S in New Malden or somewhere like that, big shop, two floors, they just leave you to try on whatever you want, no pressure...

But dont try and haggle as refusal often results in offence...

Always found J&S a bit rubbish for ladies stuff, maybe worth checking out one of the girlsbike2 shops?

Girlsbike2 are probably the place to go for women, I took my girl down there (Archway) to get a jacket and Jo sorted her out, she still wears it some years later.

Bike stop is a great little shop but they stock the more expensive gear. I've heard very good things about J&S but am yet to go there myself.....

I agree Thumbs Up I found the one in Portsmouth had very little for ladies, which was disappointing as the shop has a lot of stuff. I'm a bit gutted, as our local girlsbike2 has closed despite my patronage, but it was definitely the best place for me to buy stuff without a doubt, as they had a wide range and stocked sizes. I find other places (HG) have quite limited ladies ranges and are not always good at stocking sizes either.

Not sure if men suffer the same way, but I find that I can vary by a couple of sizes make to make which means trying on is absolutely essential and kinda rules out the internet until you are confident of the size you need.
