Angle grinder and a pin punch. Grind both sides of the link out and then use the punch. I wouldnt recommend it purely because the chain will most likely be fcked if you need to take a link out, I had to do it once to my TS50 but I was out of work and just out of school so had no money.

So you want to bodge it and sell it to an unsuspecting punter? Why not just be honest and knock a few quid off the price?

Just don't. Some kid might buy it and lose a foot when the chain snaps, which it almost certainly will before long if it's that loose.

Replace it before it tries to replace itself!

Stick 'needs new chain' in the advert; being a bit of a dick to my mind if you actually spend time making your bike more dangerous to cover up the fact that something needs replacing.

Angle grinder and cut it into three equal sized pieces. Put the three pieces in three dustbins.
End of.

As said above, you could simply sell it saying 'needs new chain' - then your family doesn't need to go without food for a week to fund the new chain, and you've fulfilled your moral obligation to the new owner (ie. telling them there's a potentially dangerous problem with the bike).

I'm wondering how he affords insurance and petrol, both of those completely eclipse the cost of a chain even for a ZX6R and 125 chains are waay cheaper!

By living in Canada where petrol's a lot cheaper and I suspect there's loads of places you can legally ride without insurance?
