Are the new d207e tyres dual compound like the road smarts?

what is the difference between the 2 tyres?

Cant find much info on the net as to whether they are dual compound or not.

No they are not dual compound.

It's the same carcass, but with the compound from the Roadsmart. The D207 is quite an old tyre now, I'd say buy the Roadsmarts over the D207e.

Ooo, interesting. I would presume so since it doesn't mention the triple compoundness in the marketing gumf.

The first thing mentioned in the Roadsmart marketing bit is the triple compound.

Nothing about triple compound on the D207E page, so it's just a single compound tyre.....

My mechanic told me that's Dunlops sales bullshit and it's actually a dual compound but they count it as 3. since you have the soft on the right, hard in the middle and soft on the left again.
So made of 2 compounds but in 3 sections, so they call it a triple Confused

Don't know if it's true though.

Yes it is true, the same as the BT016 being 5 compounds. There are five different compound areas, but there are only 3 actual different compounds.
