Im considering a career in Management Consultancy. Ive read the stuff on the net about it and i have a general idea about it.

Im looking for someone who works in managment consultancy who can tell me what it is actually like? Is that you? Can you help?

A friend of mine is a management consultant, and I have a decent idea of what goes on, but I'm not going to write loads until I know what level you are at!

not exactly management consultancy, but i work for a software company that sells erp software.

As implementing this software, typically involves redesigning business process, its like selling prepackaged management consultancy solutions.

They have two sorts of sales people. Experts with decades of experience and detailed knowledge, and smart young people who work to targets and most dont meet them, and dont last, as the targets are set high.

look up solution selling on wikipedia. the idea is to understand a companies problems, and then offer solutions.
