It takes about half an hour and uses the mental capacity of a six year old...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I understood it needs a chain tool to fit it? which I dont have.

If anyone wants to do it, will happily provide a crate of beer and assist. Can come to you also Very Happy

P.S - I'm not actually from Croydon and I actually live in Crystal palace- which is a lot nicer then Croydon Wink

I dont think either is posh, but Croydon has a deserved reputation for crime and violence, and is not as nice a place to be generally.

Although there are some areas of Croydon that are nicer than some areas of Crystal palace, etc.

There are a few places not far from East Croydon station. Cant remember any names though.

LAM (London IAM) seem to recommend Dave Wilkins. He's in indi garage somewhere in the Penge (haha) area. I can try to get his number...

You're posibbly thinking of the bike shops in St James Road which are kind of round the back of East Croydon / Addiscum area.

You could google to see what is there but I can't vouch for them and I know INMOTO is round there but they are primarily a Aprillia dealers and not to be trusted as far as Wave2k says.

There is a independant garage/shop there which always has loads of 2nd hand bikes out the front but I dont remember the name.

Ah yeah, Inmoto... Allimc used to work for them...

There was Bonanza bikes I believe. Got the ER5 from there. Not a particularly superb place, most bikes were over priced. But being a n00b I didn't know much to comapre to.

Got the details for Dave Wilkins' 020 8249 7940. The garage is on Jasmine Grove, Penge.

Yeah the place I am thinking of has replaced Bonanza's. Just remembered the name - Maverick!! Might be worth a ring. Good luck, let us know how you get on.
