How to adjust UPVC door hinges?

We're just had new carpet in the front room and now the front door is catching and getting more than a little annoying (not to mention wearing the carpet). Is it possible to adjust these hinges up or is it a job for a professional?

if you look at the photo you took there are little points in the back of each bit (god that sounds very vague and untechnical Confused

) I believe its something to do with a little allen key in those

Can you not lift the door by loosening the hinges. Often these have adjustable slots.
