Anybody know where I could bulk buy wholemeal pasta for a reasonable price, 5-10kg worth?

Any cash and carry should stock that kind of quantity. Do have Booker round your way? You can get a day pass, (normally you need a VAT number and membership for the likes of Costco etc...)

Also try Asda, they have some pretty huge sacks of pasta too.

Thumbs Up

Maybe wholemeal pasta isn't as prevalent as, ummm, pasta pasta...

I have no idea, my knowledge of such things is at best, limited.

Maybe he just assumes that supermarkets don't keep large bags.

Maybe this advice is too late but have you tried Italy?
You can buy machines that make pasta then feed a few whole mean loafs through it. Just a thought....

You may be better off buying lots of 500g bags.

In tescos, with the big bags, you par more per 100g than for small ones.

I want to buy big bags because I'm getting through about a kilo of pasta a week. The largest my olcal supermarkets sell are 1kg bags, and I was hoping buying a larger bag would reduce the cost.

Will go and look at larger supermarkets further away.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cheap pasta at supermarkets was pretty near them just breaking even, if not making a loss.
If I remember, pasta shells tend to be the cheapest.
