I hate it!!
Do you have to throw it away and start again or do you eat it anyways? perhaps scraping off the worst??
Or are you some sort of deviant that actually likes burnt toast?
Why can't toasters be clever enough to stop when things start burning??? ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

I like toast well done, but not burnt.
My problem is custard.
I'm going to give up doing it in the microwave, it explodes every time without fail
I love custard, but not on toast tho. |

I hate it when its the last two slices of bread and no other food in house then I am reduced to scraping the burn off but usually it goes in bin.
I have tins of custard in my drawer, i refuse to get the birds powder as it never works for me. Ready made all the way. Humm custard and cake........................... ____________________ All the breast.

My old toaster was always burning the bread ... very temperamental, one minute nice and golden tan, then next black burnt.
However, since last Xmas, when the wife bought me my new shiny orange KTM toaster ... I have had nothing but perfect toast and with a nice logo in the middle.
Lovely it is

I don't fiddle with my settings or is it temperamental (its a tefal, not a sharty one) - it will do the same bread the same every time!! HOWEVER it doesn't really account for the size of the bread. i.e. I have it set for thick slices, if I put in thin or medium, then they are slightly underdone. So I put them in again for a little bit ... problem is every now and then I forget I have re-done it and it does another complete cycle .... hence popping up all black!!
Why would you want KTM on your toast?!!? ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

Until recently I had to do toast under the grill, it regularly took me 6 slices of bread to get 2 slices of unburnt toast. I have now got a toaster as the grill doesn't work anymore I can't eat burnt toast even with it scraped, it goes out to the pigeons ____________________ Enjoy everyday, tell those you love everyday you love them

Toasters are sh1t full stop, even the ones that make cheese toasties. It's not the burning bit that p!sses me off(I mean come on if it burns you know top turn it down for next time ).My problem is having to cut 2 inches off the top of my toast(if you eat warburtons you'll know what I'm talking about),what a waste.I once e-mailed them suggesting they teamed up with morphy richards and made a toaster that was sufficient enough to toast a full slice,I never got a reply but now I've had time to think about it more it may make more sense I'f they just made their "toastie" bread a couple of inches smaller,it would toast properly in a standard toaster and save Mr warburton a little cash at the same time. But then wtf do I know about bread,I'm sure it wouldnt be as simple as that to make the slices smaller, and if it was smaller I'd probably buy Hovis instead.Feck me I'm getting on my own nerves now! |

I don't own a toaster, as they're useless when you can have a perfectly good grill and a smoke alarm. Works every time, as I'm a terror for putting stuff on or in the cooker and then wandering off to do something else, forgetting what I started off doing (it's my age!).
Without fail, as the grill starts smoking the alarm goes off, then me, the cats and dog all charge back to kitchen in time for perfectly cooked toast
Actually, I seem to be the only one on here that really likes burnt toast (end crust bit's the bestest) gone a bit cold with a thick spread of cold butter and orange and ginger marmalade - om, nom nom ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'

I'd love me a trendy Honda toaster. {edit}after searching, I've also found https://www.geekalerts.com/u/dv-toaster.jpg but the force is not with it.
I'm also going to try Toast and Custard next time I have some.
I've tried chips and custard - also sausage roll and custard. Nice. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |
