It wouldn't occur to me to go into a bank with a lid on, even a flip up one.

Thumbs Up

And a bank is probably top of my list of places to remove my lid.

Sound's like your running errands.

I only keep my lid on when im jumping back on within 2 minutes.

And a bank i would accept to take it off. Would be the same for a jewelers. But not for petrol. Thumbs Up

To be honest if you're wearing a flip-up lid they were probably just trying to save you looking like a tit by asking you to take it off.

Laughing

I got given one, some Caberg jobby. Never flip the front up as I feel like and look like a tit.

I would say if you were going into a bank it would have been common sense to take it off?

Maybe that's just me.

Used to take it off when I went in for petrol but dont do it anymore - just lift the visor now.

I remember being on my lessons and there were 3 of us (instructor, me and another guy). We all went to 3 seperate pumps to fill up and the petrol garage wouldn't turn the pumps on!!!

A bit of a no brainer taking a lid off going into the bank. Not the cleverest of thing keeping it on even a flip up.

Nearly all the garages around here make me take my lid off apart from one as they know me well.

A bank though is a different story entirely, I think just about everyone will remove their lid then! Laughing

Same here, 9 times out of 10 I use the same garage and the girl in it knows me well.

on the topic of banks and concealing your face, do they ask you to remove a burqa or leave if you go into a bank with one on?

Very true, and for many biking is effectively a religion. That said, talking to someone through a helmet and a plate glass screen is difficult, worse still if you wear ear plugs!
