From my recent trip to the Falklands. Very strange experience.

What other gunfire is there but the sudden variety?

AFAIK most guns dont give a waning before they go off, just a BOOM... Smile

It reminds me of the sign when going between Helensburgh and Arrochar.

"Slow
Explosives"

It's like, "what?!?" Surprised

Riding across Salisbury plain with Korn and Ste a couple of years ago at around midnight, the road we had just come onto from a field had signs either side saying 'Do not leave road, unexploded ordinance!'.

All over the place when I was in Croatia. The factory I was working in was riddled with bullet holes and shell damage.

Strangest sign I've seen was in Tunisia. Right in the middle of the desert and it translated to ' road obscured by sand'.

Made these on the sign design CAD programme at work when I was bored one day. Made a nice computer wallpaper for a few days.

The Mud On Road sign used to get me. For ages I was looking for them playing Tiger Feet. I felt ripped off and lied to.

Then there's the ''Heavy Plant Crossing''. Where was the big Cactus?

No, it was a Triffid you should have looked out for. Smile
