Hi Guys

New to BFC and need some answers...

I passed my test last November ater driving a car for 15 years.I was caught speeding on my bike last week and got the fine and 3 points.
Am i right in saying if im caught speeding again i will lose my licence

I was told if i get 6 points in my first two years of passing my test i lose my bike licence is this right...

Shitting myself now,dont want to lose it after working so hard to get it ,was even considering selling bike(which would killme) and wait till the two years are up.

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GOOD NEWS

As far as I am aware there isnt a 'probation' period for new riders unlike car drivers

The probation period applies to getting your LICENCE. Not adding a new entitlement to it.

Assuming you've had a car licence for 15 years, then it won't affect you.

How Good is this information.I have checked the DVLA website and found nothing.Anyone know where the links is...Just so i can read it in black and white before i go out again on a weekend run

Under the New Drivers Act your driving licence will be revoked if you build up six or more penalty points within two years of passing your first driving test. You’ll need to reapply for your driving licence as a learner driver and resit your driving test.

I would try not to get the other points lol But yeah, you arent on the probation period and so the usual 12 points rule applies.
