Just want to say hi to every one in the forum, I m new here. Just done my cbt last week and I m 24 now. Went around with my mate to look at bikes and finally got a brand new Derbi cross city 125cc. Wanted to get the Honda CBF but was expensive and second hand and i managed to pick up the Cross City brand new and cheaper. But one thing was i didn't get to test the bike like i did with the CBF since the Cross was totally new and the dealership had no demo bike.
I don't pick up my ride till thursday after all the paper work is done, but so far i have failed to find much info on the bike i bought. Has anyone got the same bike, this will be my first bike can any one share some light on weather the bike is good?

thanks

It looks like a nice bike. I love the way they describe it on their website

Welcome to the site.

As you are 24 hopefully you will be passing your test and then moving up to a larger bike. So you got the best deal and as long as you keep it in good nick may not make too much of a loss.

The video made me lol. The girl goes round the corners at about 15mph, and the guy has nice shiny silver leathers. Laughing

Looks like a pretty good bike for the money, although being 24, why not just go straight on to do your DAS? Or get a cheap 2nd hand 125 to get some experience on? Hopefully you won't lose too much money on that bike, but buying new if your going to be moving up soon isn't too smart!

Hope you enjoy it, and ride safe! Thumbs Up

I "fell in love" with the bike I did my CBT on too (Yamaha YBR)... It's odd, everyone seems to. It's not love though Wink Maybe just lust.

The same advice that I was given, go for a cheap 125 and the do DAS. You can pick up a YBR/CG for pretty cheap. Got my YBR on ebay for £800 which has not gone wrong since i've had it.

Save your money for a decent bike when you pass, that's what I'm doing.
