My 600 looks neat as anything, however the 125 is covered in scratches and other, all due to mybadself. Nothing seems to get rid of them, and I can't be arsed re-spraying the whole thing just now, so if anyone asks, it's part of the look Wink

touch up brushes, may look a little messy though.

orrrr..... have you seen the stomp grip things you can stick to the sides of your tank? there for extra grip, but could cover your scratches.

You think that is scratched, you want to see mine after 2 crashes. I will have to post a pic when I take a decent one of it. If anyone asks about it I just say it is customised Shocked As long as the bike still runs well i am not bothered about his looks.

It shouldn't cost too much to get the tank resprayed, I have been quoted £300 to do my entire fazer

ER5. Switch gear is the same as the ZR-7 also which is probably a bit more common in the US.

Also you can pop out some dents with a can of compressed air and a hair drier. Search Google, theres plenty of guides.

Mine was only the result of my pelvic bone/nuts hitting it when the bike hit a car's rear end at approx 25mph - bike stopped suddenly, I didn't. Side dents are from clip-on damage from same accident and others from various drops.

/me, balls of steel. Cool

Both of mine are immaculate. I have a tank cover on the TDM and the S4 has been recently resprayed.

Mine is covered in scratches and dings.

I don't care, it isn't rusty and it holds petrol. Therefore it fulfils its purpose.

Apart from a small dent where my knee hit it and a tiny crease from when I came off, it's pretty shiny and scratchless.

Have you tried using a rotary polisher on it? I managed to get some scratches out of my front mudguard using one, and a bit of t-cut, that simply wouldn't come up by hand alone. Finish off with a bit of colour magic, and a final polish and it looks as good as new now.

Mine is still near perfect, apart from a really small ding...its worse on the seat cowl and grab rail though, as when I go camping, despite the chamois leather I use for protection...it has suffered some minor scuffing...have tried to touch it up with nail polish, but it hasn't really worked.

It will stay as is now, the paintwork is 6 years old this year, and has worn well.
