I had my first experience of riding pillion on a sports bike yesterday and I'm so amazed by it I've been telling everyone in sight (sad,I know) Laughing

My nextdoor neighbour's mate has an '06 reg Rossi Replica Yamaha R6,so after admiring it he asked if I wanted a ride out on it. He'd spent loads of money on mods and stuff,it had the lot,Goodridge braided hoses, end can etc,it looked brilliant like. Went out for a good blast round the twisty country roads near me on it and I have to say,it was fucking brilliant. I've only ever been pillion on a Pan European in the past so obviously this was completely different. It went like shite off a shovel and I loved every minute of the hour or so we were out hooning around on it.

Very pointless and sad post, but I've never felt better than when I was on there!

I would refuse to ride pillion at all. Bikes are dangerous don't you know?

Ive never ridden pillion, the thought scares me tbh, i like to be in control. I dont even like being passenger in a car unless i really trust the driver (i.e. my dad, uncle or 2 of my mates).

I also dont fancy parking my arse on the tiny pillion seat of a sportsbike, cant be a nice place to be.

But i agree, sport 600's are immense Cool

Riding bitch is only ever fun if you can't drive or ride. All other times, you'd like to be in control. I've got an arrogant attitude where the only person I trust is myself. Although, having said that, I'm not sure if I want to be my own pillion, despite my friends having no qualms about my riding.

I must be an oddball then because I quite like going pillion now and then, It's just like being on a roller coaster or it could be cos I'm just to lazy to ride all the time just like I can't be arsed to drive all the time.

I like going pillion now and then, especially if the liver is playing up (as I get really tired). But I have been told, I am an excellent pillion anyway, most peeps forget I'm there, well until they get a jab in the kidneys if they are scaring me!!! Wink

Wait until you get on a 1000, the problem with the 600's is that the extra weight and relative lack of torque dents the performance somewhat, the extra capacity and torque makes a pillion less of a hindrance to a thou.

Glad you enjoyed it though Thumbs Up I took my future bro in law out on Sunday and he loved it, possible future biker.

Cheers

Grim
