I cant believe you /actually/ changed your mind based on what someone else in the shop got done. Laughing

I dont even care if it's troll. It's brilliant.

The stars look like Jesus himself drew them.

I think you had a lucky escape. If you get a tattoo you should be 100% sure what you want and where.

If you have doubts because you see someone else getting one done elsewhere and different then you obviously hadn't thought through the whole tattoo thing.

Just cause you are old enough to have a tattoo doesnt mean you are mature enough Wink

So what is about the stars that really gets your creative juices flowing, Pete?

But seriously, a star, FFS. Do you have no imagination?

Stars are, as far as I can tell, the 'cool' tattoo to have at the moment. Or rather, the tattoo to have for people who don't really want a tattoo other than for image sakes - i.e. what other 'cool' people think of them.

This is a shitty reason to get a tattoo.

Not only does it smack of general insecurity and lack of confidence in oneself, but everybody else who is comfortable with who they are and don't pander to fashion will think you are a bit of a 'tard. That is around 95% of the population, and probably 99% of the tattooed population.

You're getting a tattoo for the sake of having one, the image of having one, not because it is special to you or actually means something.

But fuck it, get it anyway, let people think you are a knob, they probably do anyway, you're just giving them extra ammo.

Imagine having that stupidly large and EMO star on your elbow when your 50.

Yeah that's what I thought, I wouldn't bother either.

Bad idea.

I have two tattoos, both on my back, both designed and created by me, both sets of artwork left the tattoo shop with me. I like my originality and I know that I won't see someone with the same tattoo as me, walking down the street.

This, to me, is what tattoos are all about, not everyone is the same and not everyone has the same ideas but think about this. How would you feel if you saw someone acting like a complete knob and then noticed that he had the same tattoos as you? You might not care but I would feel some knobness by association.

Be original, there's not a lot you can do in life that is original, tattoos certainly aren't unless you draw them yourself.

Cheers

Grim

Or, it could be that he doesnt care what we think, and is therefore going against the grain by getting the tattoo anyways. In which case he would be following our advice by going against what would be the norm. What a quaint paradox.

If you're gonna get a tattoo that you dont give a fuck about, stay away from areas that are usually visible...it's common sense ffs.

If you end up well into tattoos, then fair do's, get what the frick you want, wherever you feel most comfortable with it. But I really dont see the point in getting one that you clearly have put no thought into, somewhere that is visible 75% of the time.

Ha! You posted on here and expected to just get positive comments! Laughing Nutjob.

Everybody thinks you are getting the tattoo for the wrong reasons, so put us straight, why are you getting one? What's your motivation?

No answer is as good as an admission that you are an image obsessed insecure little boy. Razz

This is kinda the point - you are supposed to think about these things before you do them. Perhaps the thought should be extended to include why you actually want a tattoo in the first place, not just what tattoo you should get.

I...I think I love him.

Get a memorial to 9/11, surrounded by a big star on your forehead, Mr Model.

Its all of your tattoo dreams in one lucid, shiny package. Thumbs Up

Your calling people and kicking off when you don't get the opinions you want??

How about grow some!

If you REALLY wanted this tattoo then you wouldn't be posting on a bike forum asking people if they like it or not and where to get it. You would have gone into that shop today and had it done.

Call me all you want, but I know I am right in what I am saying and your immaturity to the situation speaks volumes.

Why don't you just ask your Mum?

I am sure she will think it's cool.
