Ive had Diablo's on the zxr since i bought it.160/60/ 17 on the back and a 120/70/ 17 on the front. Grippy as hell on the arse but wasnt inspiring on the nose when cornering. i just thought it was cos i was still getting used to the bike.

Until Now!!!!!!

the diablo on the rear started peeling off in the centre (ill get pix when i can be arsed) so it had to go. I didnt have the £ to buy a new one so i grabbed the Bridgestone BT090's from the project bike that have only done about 300 miles and boshed them on.

OH MY GOD its like a totally different bike, handles loads better, getting much more lean on roundabouts and the front doesnt feel like it wants to slip away from me cos there is no wobble. 160/60 17 rear 120/60 17 on the front. I am loving it. the fanny bands, chicken strips, pussy lines on the right side are under 1/2inch but still about an inch on the left. but thats far less that what is on the diablo....

Bridgestone for the fucking win peeps Very Happy

On my zx6r (also first big bike) I had D207s on. Whilst everyone slated them, I didnt think they were too bad, and managed to kneedown once even. Next set, were D208's. Much better, and knee down was easier, cornering faster. Took them on track and took them to their limits, had a few slips etc. Now, got Metzler Rennsports (not even the Racetechs) and the bike is planted as fuck. Only done 160 miles on them, and have ripped them to shreds, no chicken strips to speak of. Best tyres I've ever tried. The D208 would win as my fave road tyre though, and I've also got Bt014's on my Speed Four...not a massive fan, but theyre better than the 207's, perhaps slightly different but not worse than the 208's. Kneedowned with full Europe 2 week trip baggage on, on foreign roads I've never ridden...so they aint that bad.

Cant wait to try Racetechs etc.

Love that new tyre feeling Laughing

One of the nicest feelings in the world. Im uber chuffed that the tyres are already scrubbed in. The missus is loving it too. Picked her up from work the other day and she was all like "Rather a spirited ride home today" Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

D207s were my first tyre, thought they were ok. Changed for Diablo's. Fantastic stuff. Tried supercorsas on track bike and f**k me theyre immense, so grippy. After every session you could glue your hand to the tyre they felt so sticky.

I've raced on diablos, they're fantastic tyres, no doubt about it.

I'd guess at the "new tyre feel" aswell as having proper pressures now, etc.

I worry about you. You didn't realise that tyre is bald and almost down to the canvass?
