Well my VCR/PC project is coming along well now, apart from one minor snag.

The bloody DVD rom drive is too big and the memory too high, so I need to find a slim line laptop style drive.

Apart from that it seems to be going ok, take a look. Shocked

I might do the same with the broken DVD player I have, not sure why, but would be cool anyway Very Happy

Might use it purely for music and then can free up some space/resources on this , hmmm and network the too, hmmm Very Happy

I found the old laptop drive i knew was laying around that i thought you could have used, but it's a flip open one (wlakman style), the only other one i have is an HP laptop cd burner which i kinda want to keep.

I'm surprised it's too big though, you could modify the front door, it's only a clipped on bit of plastic.

Looking good though.

You should have got a DVD player one stu, I'm just going to unclip the plastic bit and stick the original DVD one onto mine so it opens exactly like the dvd player does Very Happy

you could remove the pc facia for the dvd and put the original one back on, or get one of those cheap stealth flip down ones
